Eloquent comments from the lady herself: "Never in million
years would I have suspected that I would receive the Horse Woman of the
Year Award.
I go around in my
own little world and think that nobody knows me anyway.
What an honor!
One that I am not
so sure I deserve.
There are so many
more out there that know so much more than I do and work so hard.
One thing I do know –
there is no one out there that loves their animals any more than I do.
The ponies are my
identity and my life.
I am lucky enough
to have Christmas twice a year.
Once in December
and then again when the babies start hitting the ground in the spring.
Each one is like
its own Christmas package all wrapped up in a big surprise.
I just can’t wait
to see what they are going to look like.

I also have the
blessing of having all my girls.
Each one is like
my very own.
I watch them grow
and mature and learn just like the baby ponies do, and to know that I
had something to do with that makes my life seem worthwhile.
Then there is the
granddaughter.
What can I say?
When someone in
the family calls her “Little Dianne”
I have to admit my
head does begin to swell.
What fun we are
having! She nor the rest of the girls may never
be a top medal contender or an Olympic star but by golly they have been
taught to be good sports and to work hard for what they want!
